Die SAPD het onlangs die lede van sy spanne wat na Turkye ontbied is om né die aardbewing te help, geloof vir hulle harde werk en deursettingsvermoë.
Die spanne is op 9 Februarie na Turkye ontbied en sal Saterdag 18 Februarie na Suid-Afrika terugkeer.
Brig. Athlemda Mathe, polisiewoordvoerder, sê die polisie se honde is opgelei om na vermiste persone te soek en oorlede persone se liggame te vind. Een van die suksesse wat die spanne bereik het, is die redding van ‘n 80-jarige vrou uit die puin. Lees die berig hier.
