On Thursday, 25 February, the FIFA President announced that Zimbabwe and Kenya have been suspended in International football.
This is due to government interference in the football activities. It’s reported this follows several warnings by FIFA to the two Football Associations.

“Without prejudice to investigations by national authorities or other judiciary bodies, the FIFA Council has decided to suspend the Kenya Football Federation and the Zimbabwe Football Federation with immediate effect for undue influence by a third party,” said a FIFA statement.
Infantino gave details on the reasons for the bans being “government interference in the activities of the football federation.”
“They know what needs to be done for the suspension to be lifted,” he added.

Both federations have reportedly been involved in corruption while ZIFA are said to have been accused of sexual harassment cases of female officials by the technical team.
Zimbabwe and Kenya join Pakistan who’re still suspended by FIFA since 7 April 2021 due to third-party interference, “which constituted a serious violation of the FIFA Statutes,” as per FIFA statement.
