Julius Malema, the president of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has been labelled as a “hypocrite” and a “flip-flopper”, after it was revealed that his party received funding from billionaire Patrice Motsepe’s companies.
The EFF leader comes under scrutiny because of the comment he made in court while testifying in the court case brought by lobby group AfriForum. The lobby group has challenged Malema and EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi over the singing of the apartheid struggle song “Dubul’ ibhunu.” Malema said, “I am not sure if Patrice Motsepe is a billionaire, shame. I am not sure…sometimes I have a suspicion that he is an imposter. I am not sure. I don’t agree.”
The Independent Electoral commission (IEC) released its third quarter report on donations to political parties, in accordance with the Political Party Funding Act (PPFA). The EFF which had never disclosed its funding was revealed to have received R3.1 million in funding (3,148,176.00).

The result revealed that the EFF received two payments of R1,099,088 from companies which are owned by Patrice Motsepe the president of Confederation of African Football (CAF). Social media became a buzz as netizens rushed to tell Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters that he is a hypocrite.
Malema who was calling for President Cyril Ramaphosa to come clean about who the funders of the Cyril Ramaphosa campaign are, is now at the back end of the stick as he has been exposed to be receiving funding from the same person he has insulted. Partice Motsepe’s net worth currently stands at R48.3 billion.
