Among South African teams who are overseas for their clashes in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, DHL Stomers 26-man squad arrived in Galway, Republic of Ireland on Wednesday as they prepare to take on Connacht.

The Stormers have been boosted by the return of props Ali Vermaak and Neethling Fouché and loose forwards Evan Roos and Junior Phokomela from injury.

The Cape Town-based team is currently at the top of the South African shield and in eighth place on the combined Vodacom United Rugby Championship log.

This will be the first match ever between the two teams at the Sportsground in Galway where wet and windy conditions are expected.

“The players have embraced the challenge and we are all looking forward to the experience.”
