Stad Tshwane het inwoners op hul webtuiste ingelig oor ‘n wateronderbrekingwat ongeveer 30 uur lank gaan duur.
Die onderbreking sal van 24 Februarie 2023 om 03:00 tot 25 Februarie 2023 om 09:00 voortduur.
Stad Tshwane is deur Rand Water van die onderbreking, om die installering van nuwe waterpype te voltooi, ingelig.
Kyk vooraf na die onderstaande lys en berei voor vir die onderbreking.
Waterreservoirs sal vooraf gevul word, maar indien dit sou leeg loop, sal daar ‘n twee weke herstelperiode vir normale waterverskaffing wees.
Watertenks sal beskikbaar gestel word.
Inwoners word gemaan om water veral gedurende hierdie tydperk spaarsamig te gebruik.

Rand Water notified the City of Tshwane of a planned shutdown to complete tie-ins of the newly installed S4 water pipeline. The shutdown is planned from 03:00 am on 24 February 2023 to 09:00 am on 25 February 2023 (30 hours).
During the shutdown, there will be no water supply from Rand Water’s Vlakfontein Reservoir to Tshwane. The following areas will be affected:
- Corobrick Plant: Grootfontein 394-JR, Mooikloof Manor Ext 2, Riefontein 375-JR, Rietfontein Ridge Ext 11, Rietvallei 377-JR, Zwavelpoort 373-JR, The Hills (all extensions) and Tiegerpoort 371-JR
- Garsfontein Reservoir which feeds the following reservoirs:
- Eersterust Reservoir: Despatch, Eersterust, Jan Niemandpark, Mamelodi, Silvertondale and Waltloo
- Kilner Park Reservoir: Kilner Park

The City of Tshwane sincerely apologises for the inconvenience that may be encountered as a result of the above-mentioned repairs.
We appeal to all residents to use water sparingly during this time. The City of Tshwane will fill the reservoirs before the shutdown.
Rand Water has further informed the City that their supply recovery time will be approximately two weeks in the event that they run empty.
Roaming water tankers will be arranged for all affected areas.
