Keshna het in ‘n emosionele video gesê haar 24-jarige verloofde, Chad Micheal Botha (29), is 24 dae gelede in ‘n huisroof in Benoni vermoor terwyl hy haar, wat ook gewond was, probeer beskerm het.
Hulle was agt jaar in ‘n verhouding en het trots hul eerste huis saam gekoop vir die begin van hul perfekte beplande lewe.
Hulle is op 13 Oktober tydens ‘n huisroof in hul huis in Northmead aangeval. Keshna, wat ses steekwonde gehad het, moes kyk hoe Chad voor haar aan sy wonde sterf.
Keshna herstel steeds, maar moet ook die werklikheid van Chad se dood probeer verwerk. Sy veroordeel die feit dat misdaad hoogty vier en vra wanneer word dit jou familie en wanneer word daar aksie geneem om hierdie misdade teen mense te stop.

A Tribute to a remarkable soul….
This is Chad Micheal Botha – a very charming and gentle twenty nine year old Benoni resident.
Chad was a kind soul, always willing to help others, always caring about animals and doing the most to protect everyone else.
Chad had a crazy sense of humour, he loved making jokes and watching comedies; and he was really big on exercising, playing soccer and working out at the gym.
Chad and his fiancé Keshna had purchased their first home, and had put in a great deal of effort into refurbishing it; since they had planned to raise a family and make happy memories and a bright future. It was the start to a perfect life.
On 13 October 2022 this couple were brutally attacked in their home in Northmead. Chad immediately tried to protect Keshna; both of them sustained severe wounds and injuries during this attack. Chad succumbed to his injuries and tragically passed away.
Other than the crime being reported on the local security group, there has been zero mention of this crime. It’s just another statistic.
It’s just another Body.
It’s just another day in South Africa!
Keshna has been left completely distraught and totally distressed. Not only does this young lady have to heal from her own injuries and deal with the loss of her life partner; but now the incompetence and lack of assistance she is getting from our local SAPS is just adding to her trauma.

This is by far the most ignorant statement that a victim can ever be told. Not only did this woman witness her life partner die in front of her, but she herself has six stab wounds! It’ is absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable that a “Leader” tell a victim that!
If you were in the victim’s shoes, would you be dancing around and smiling? Seriously!!!!
Expecting a victim to be calm and composed, while further aggravating her with incompetence and technicalities is just pushing it a little too far now!
Serving a Community requires Care, Compassion and Consideration!
And at the same time, it is not all our SAPS members that have this lack of compassion and empathy – on the contrary – there’s some of our SAPS members that go above and beyond the call of duty to help victims; yet these members are barely acknowledged or recognised.
There are genuinely some exceptional Men and Women in blue that still place Pride, Honour and Integrity in all that they do.
Shout out to the neighbours, families, friends and the community at large, who have gone to great lengths to support this young lady through her ordeal. From preparing hot meals, arranging for a new bed, and tons of love and support; our community has really come through.
The funeral was held last week. There are no requests or requirements as everything has already been taken care of. All the victim wants is for SAPS to just do their jobs. And for Chad’s story to be heard.
Keshna is currently on a time out as she needs time to process and heal. Good souls continue to support and comfort her – for which she is extremely grateful. This has been a really devastating ordeal. No one in life should have to go through this much of suffering.
