KIMBERLEY – Onbetaalde werkers huil glo voor die kantore van die werkloosheidversekeringsfonds (WVF) in die middestad nadat hulle nog nie toelae ontvang het nie.

Volgens een van die werkers kan hulle glo nie teken om WVF-toelae te ontvang nie. Die e-Filling sisteem is glo ook aflyn.

Die werker sê van hulle huil al van die honger en vra dat FiND iT die probleem daar ondersoek. 

FiND iT het navraag by die departement van arbeid gedoen.

Unemployment Insurance Fund relaxes processes to minimise physical contact during the lockdown

The Unemployment Insurance Fund has relaxed adherence to its processes by allowing claims to be paid without mandatory source documents for those clients who are already receiving payment benefits from the Fund.

Clients who are receiving unemployment insurance benefits are normally expected to go to  Labour Centres on a monthly basis to sign a continuation form, which serves as proof that the client is still unemployed.

To avoid movement and reduce contact, clients will be contacted via short message service (sms) functionality for them to confirm unemployment status and banking details. The sms functionality will only be implemented in the lockdown period.

New claims applications for normal UIF benefits such as unemployment (reduced work time), maternity, illness, adoption, and parental can be sent either by email or fax to:

Claims applications can also be done online at www.uFiling.co.za, the Guide to Electronic Claims is available on www.labour.gov.za .

Employers who are unable to pay the full salaries of workers during the lock down period can apply for the Covid19 Temporary Employer-Employee Relief Scheme (Covid19TERS). Employers are advised to send their applications to [email protected] , and enquiries about the scheme can be made at 0800 030 007, which operates from Monday – Friday between 08h00 – 17h00.

  1. Goeienaand die Goverment het die lockdown geimplement nou moet die S.Afrikaanse burgers daar onderlei asgevolg van basse wat nix geld wil verloor en die president het fonds beskikbaar gestel …. Dus on reg verdig teen oor ons …… Die president sal moet deal met sulke werk gewers … van ons moet die 4de werk toe en op die company se reel gaan werk asof ons covid 19 geroep het… Hulle verwag die tyd moet ingewerk word .. en hulle demand jy gani nou leave kry nie en jy moet jou Uif claim vir n salaris… dus skrlm geid…. President Cyril Ramaphosa ons wag U inni Noord kaap by Prieska Asb … die 4 de Mei 2020 Wil Mense van alle besmette plekke kom oomdat hulle die kant werk en ons Dorp is vir te kosbaar ons is verlee vir ons werk .aar obs fesinne en families is nou die belangrikste……… Ons gaan Wet in ons Hande neem as Lockdown nogi verby is en daar word verwag ons moet werk toe ….. hier gani ander Provinsies se mense kom nie… buite provinsies se mense luister nie dus hukom dinge so hand uitruk nou wil hulle vir ons die Corona bring …… Ons gaan Tyress Brand vir ons gesondheid….

  2. My husband was, supposed to sign on the 8 th, he haven’t received any sms message yet and the uif are the only income at the moment the government don’t care about the poor.
