VRYSTAAT. – Chris Snyman het motoriste gewaarsku om nie op ‘n sekere plek te parkeer nie, aangesien die verkeersdepartement voertuie skut wat daar gevind word.
Snyman het ‘n video gedeel waarin ‘n Ford Ranger op ‘n laebedvragmotor gelaai word.
“Mense wees maar versigtig om langs Mimosa Mall te stop, want dan gebeur dit met jou, hulle het gister ‘n klomp voertuie geskut.”
Chris Snyman se waarskuwing op die Mangaung Ratepayers Association se Facebook-blad is al meer as 600 keer gedeel.
Volgens die My Metro My Mangaung Facebook-blad (soos hier onder aangeheg) het die verkeersdepartement die betrokke dag glo op meer as 40 voertuie beslag gelê om geskut te word.

This afternoon ( 2 Feb 2024) Mangaung Traffic again made work of clearing vehicles that have illegally parked on Red Lines on Kelner street opposite Mimosa Mall.
Traffic officers removed over 40 vehicles today.
When parking on any RED LINES, it is seen as an obstructions to other vehicles and the Traffic Department said that motorists’ vehicles will be impounded.
To collect your vehicle will cost you over R1800 plus an obstruction fine of R750. Day to day impounded charge will be R200.
My Metro My Mangaung FB Page spoke to an official, who said that the metro has received “Fine Books” and more are on the way.
” From this coming Monday the public will witness traffic law inforcement on a regular basis “, the official said.
Those who break the city’s bylaws will be fined and no this is not because of the coming election.
The Metro received numerous complaints from the public regarding Kelner street and the dangerous situation the public experience when using this road during the day and rush hours time.
Rosepark Hospital, Preller Square Shopping Centre area and the CBD will also have regular visits by the Mangaung Traffic Department.
