Body of missing Limpopo 3-year-old child found dumped in bushes

The search for a missing 3-year-old child ended tragically when her body was discovered dumped in bushes in Motetema outside Groblersdal in Limpopo. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect behind the gruesome murder of the child.

The child, Boithekgo Chauke, was last seen on Saturday playing with other children in a neighbour’s yard. She went missing from her home in Moganyaka village and her family went to the police and reported her missing. The members of the police along with the community members went out to search for the missing girl, but could not find her.

According to Brigadier Motlalefa Mojapelo the search for the missing girl was joined by the K9 Unit and the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit. Later that day, the police made a gruesome discovery and ended their search.

Mojapelo said, “The child’s tiny body was discovered in the bushes near Mamphokgo village at about 16:40 following an intensive search operation. A case of murder has been opened. The motive behind the incident is still unknown, but police investigations continue.”

The police are calling on anyone with information that can help apprehend the suspect involved in the brutal murder of the child to bring the information forward.
