Convicted serial killer Rosemary Ndlovu is set to return to court this month to face three new charges of attempted murder. The Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court sentenced her to six life terms last year for killing five of her relatives and her boyfriend. She was also alleged to have ordered a hit on her own mother.
Ndlovu, a former Tembisa police officer, will be appearing at the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on 20 April. It is alleged that her new charges involve her plot to murder two police officers, Sergeant Benneth Mabunda and Colonel Nthipe Boloka.

Boloka was a station commander at the police station where Ndlovu worked and Mabunda was the officer who was investigating her murder case, which lead to her conviction. It is alleged that Ndlovu ordered a hit on both officers while she awaited her trial to begin. Ndlovu blamed the two officers for her arrest.
Ndlovu is also facing another charge in which she is the co-accused, involving a Norkem Park police officer, Nomsa Mudau, who was attested for plotting to kill her husband, Justice Tshifiwa Mudau. Ndlovu allegedly connected Mudau with hitmen and helped her orchestrate a plan to kill her husband. The plan was to shoot him in his home.
While Ndlovu knew that the plan to kill Mudau failed, she did not know that the two hitmen she hired foiled the plot and a case was opened. She allegedly recruited the same hitman and his two friends to kill Joyce a week later. The cases of attempted murder are alleged to have been opened in Tembisa, but the case has been moved to Kempton Park for safety reasons.
