The Cape of Good Hope has offered a reward of R5 000 for information that can help lead to the arrest and successful conviction of a man who was captured sexually violating a goat in Du Noon, Milnerton, on Tuesday.
Jaco Pieterse, The Cape of Good Hope spokesperson, said the organisation was in possession of CCTV footage where a goat was sexually violated. They are working with goat farmers to try and track down and apprehend the suspect seen in the footage.

“The perpetrator climbed over the kraal fencing. A description of what the footage shows is too horrific to describe. It is sadistic and cruel. We cannot believe that any person would engage in sexual activities with an animal, let alone in such a cruel and inhumane manner,” he added.
“The goat was brought to the SPCA on the same day the incident was reported. Inspector Theo Arendolf investigated the matter and brought the goat in for urgent veterinary examination and treatment,” said Pieterse.
When examined, it was found that the goat was pregnant. The SPCA said the goat suffered severe trauma and was taken back to the owner after showing good progress. According to Pieterse, the SPCA will be visiting the area on Thursday and handing out pamphlets to the community members in search of the suspect.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact the SPCA on 021 700 1458/9 or contact their local police station.
