Three suspects have been arrested in Durban after Phoenix police conducted an intelligence operation at Wareham place in Westham.

KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, colonel Thembeka Mbele, said during the operation police arrested three people who were found in possession of drugs on Tuesday, 23 February.
The suspects, aged between 18 and 46, were found in possession of 650 capsules of heroin.

In a different case, Mbhele said they proceeded to Charclay Gardens in Clay field where a 31-year-old male was found in possession of 20 tablets of Mandrax and five pieces of cocaine.
All four suspects will appear before the Verulam Magistrate’s Court for possession of drugs.
This incident follows the recent search of police in the same place where they found “10 200 capsules of heroin and 1 190 pieces of rock cocaine,” as per SAPS provincial spokesperson, lieutenant colonel Nqobile Gwala.
“We are appealing to the community to continue working hand in hand with police to make our province free from drugs,” Gwala said.
