On Wednesday, 16 February 2022, the members of Ceres police arrested an adult male for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
According to the Western Cape SAPS Spokesperson Captain Frederick Van Wyk, the members responded to a complaint of a suspect threatening a person with a firearm.
The police spotted the suspect fitting the description given, searched him and found pistol and ammunition in his possession.
He’ll appear in court on Friday, 18 February 2022.
In an unrelated matter, Hermanus SAPS found stolen property and and unlicensed firearm in Zwelihle, Hermanus.
According to Western Cape SAPS Spokesperson Captain Frederick Van Wyk, Five males were arrested and once charged will appear the Hermanus Magistrates court.
