AmaZulu FC coach Benni McCarthy is the first manager to take Usuthu to CAF Champions League after they finished second in the DStv Premiership last season.

Both teams are craving a victory after they didn’t have a desired start in the group stages as they lost their first games.

Horoya is led by the seasoned coach Lamine N’diaye who has won Champions League and CAF Super Cup with TP Mazembe before.

Speaking in the pre-match Press conference, Benni said the Senegalese-born coach experience counts for nothing in a football match.

“But qualifications and what you’ve done in the past counts for nothing in a football match. As much as he has experience in his coaching career, I’ve also got an unbelievable and amazing playing career.

“So that doesn’t make any difference, tomorrow is about two teams trying to get a win and I’ve got huge respect for him. It will be decided by which one wants it more and gets the tactics right – the team that will be more clinical upfront, not the team that got the most experience individually.”
