As far as the club level is concerned Pitso Mosimane is arguably the most decorated coach in the African continent.
He has revealed that he doesn’t think he’ll ever get a chance to manage a club in Europe especially, English Premier League.
“You want to tell me that out of all the black coaches in England, no one can coach?” he said as per The Citizen.
“It is unbelievable. Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah, Dwight Yorke, John Barnes, where are they? You are telling me none of them can coach? We grew up looking at these people as heroes but we have yet to see one, even in the first division.
“Let me stay in the continent and maybe in the Gulf (there are opportunities). We don’t need to do football in Europe.”
Few months ago when Mosimane’s Al Ahly won the CAF Champions League, the former Tottenham Hotspur player said Pitso can coach in Europe.
“European clubs can look in Africa to find new coaching talents. Mosimane for example has many talents and can work in Europe,” Vega told Al Ahly TV.
Mosimane recently won his second FIFA Club World Cup bronze medal with Al Ahly SC where rubbed shoulders with the likes of Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea Manager).
