Dottry Media has a great opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience working in a digital newsroom environment.
The freelance internship is for three months, with the option of full-time employment. The intern will be responsible for creating and submitting content for three publications, in both English and Afrikaans.
Responsibilities and duties
- Staying up to date with news, sourcing news, creating fresh news articles across titles
- Managing back-end uploading and sharing on all social media platforms
- Some design work will be included, as well as working on design programmes
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in journalism, communications
- Excellent command of both Afrikaans and English language
- Own car, computer, Wifi
- Attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Thrive on daily deadlines and a hard-work environment
- Works well under extreme pressure
- Manages time well
- Self-motivated
