NordPass, a password manager, recently released its annual list of most common passwords in 2021. This list consists not only of the most popular passwords worldwide, but also the passwords in 50 different countries and the most common passwords among men and women.
The top 20 passwords were:

When it comes to the differences in passwords between men and women, the research indicated that more music-related passwords such as “onedirection” or “justinbieber” among women and “slipknot” or “metallica” are used among men.
Another interesting difference between men and women was that women used more positive passwords such as “sunshine” and “iloveyou”.
Men again used more sports-related passwords. In some countries, men also use more swear words.
In South Africa, the most common passwords are easy-to-remember numbers or people’s names.
