Your Time to Thrive

I am a firm believer of setting actionable goals each day to get me through my work and other personal challenges. Your Time to Thrive by Marina Khidekel – Thrive Globals’ head of content development – and her team of editors reaffirmed to me the importance of not merely progressing from point A to point B but to also create meaningful, sustainable change when dealing with a major life overhaul. Arianna Huffington founded Thrive Global to change the way we work and live by ending the collective delusion that burnout is the price we must pay for success.

The blurb on the back cover reads: “Your Time to Thrive brings together science, storytelling, ancient wisdom and advice, from inspiring people from all walks of life, to create a revolutionary behaviour change system that will help you to immediately improve your health, happiness and sense of purpose. Unlock your greatest potential with Microsteps: tiny, science-backed actions you can start taking right away to build life-improving habits. With hundreds of Microsteps to help you better your physical health, build your mental resilience, strengthen your relationships and be a part  of something larger than yourself, Your Time to Thrive is a go-to guide of practical and inspiring advice that will empower you to change your life – one Microstep at a time.”

Your Time to Thrive consists of eight interesting chapters titled Sleep, Unplugging and Recharging, Nutrition an Hydration, Movement, Focus and Prioritization, Communication and Relationships, Creativity and Inspiration, and Purpose and Meaning. The idea is to take steps that are too small to fail but still propels you forward and sets you on a life-altering course. “We’ve created a series of Microsteps based on what neuroscientists call habit-stacking – attaching a new healthy habit to an existing habit to make it sustainable […] And we’ve crafted Microsteps to include financial well-being, since financial stress isn’t just about how much we have in our bank account but is connected to out overall well-being” (Foreword).

This book of 260 pages explores the power of gratitude. It invites one to pause, reflect on, and then successfully pursue what matters most for ones well-being.

Your Time to Thrive: End Burnout, Increase Well-being And Unlock Your Full Potential With The New Science of Microsteps is published by Headline Home.
