Here are a few alternative gin & tonic recipes for you to try at home.

Strawberry & Black Pepper Gin & Tonic

You’ll need three strawberries, freshly ground black pepper, 45 ml gin and tonic water. After you’ve washed and hauled your strawberries, slice them in half or quarters. Muddle the berries with a good twist of freshly ground black pepper in a shaker, then pour into an ice-filled glass. Stir in the gin and top with tonic. Garnish with a strawberry and enjoy!

Peach & Thyme Gin & Tonic

You’ll need 50 ml gin, 125 ml tonic, 3-4 peach slices and a sprig of fresh thyme. Pour your gin and tonic over ice and add your peach slices. Garnish with a spring of thyme. For a stronger peach flavour, blitz the fruit in a blender and strain it into the glass before adding your other ingredients, stirring until the drink infuses with the juice.

Roasted Pineapple Gin & Tonic

You’ll need 2 pineapple wheels, 50 ml gin, 70 ml pineapple juice, tonic water and 1 lime. Griddle, grill or BBQ the pineapple wheels for 5 minutes before turning them over. Continue grilling until they are browned, smoky and caramelized. Cut one pineapple wheel into wedges and muddle it into wedges and muddle it into your cocktail shaker. Add gin, ice and juice. Shake for two minutes and strain into a glass with ice.
