Brigadier Nicky Mills, the Northern Cape Police FCS Provincial Head in the company of Captain Olebogeng Tawana took to Radio Teemaneng Stereo, raised awareness about Gender Based Violence during women’s month. Issues touched on were matters pertaining to statutory rape cases. He continued to encourage parents to monitor behavior of girl child, as they are more susceptible to sexual abuses and getting involved in sexual relationships with older men.
One of the concerns which was raised by listeners was issue of abuse of resources by the members of the South African Police Service.
In his response Brigadier Mills assured the listeners that he will investigate the allegations of abuse of state resources.
