WES-KAAP: Laerskool Klapmuts rou oor die afsterwe van drie leerlinge.
Wiandré Vlotman (7), wat hierdie jaar in graad-1 was, en sy sussie Chloë Vlotman (13) in graad-7, is beide op 27 November op pad skool toe deur ‘n motorvoertuig getref. Beide die kinders het gesterf. Die tragiese ongeluk het op die R45 Klapmuts/Simondiumpad, gebeur.
Zhanolique Jaydean Fischer (9) gebore op 11 Augustus 2014, is op 25 November aan natuurlike oorsake dood. Haar troosdiens het op 2 Desember by die skool plaasgevind en is deur Willys en Gallico Funeral Services behartig.
Die skool het die kinders se dood op hul sosiale media betreur:
“As we grieve the loss of three of our learners, we want to thank everyone for the support, love and messages of hope. May God be with their families
May God be with us all”
Gesie van Deventer, die uitvoerende burgemeester van Stellenbosch, het hartseer oor die afsterwe van die jong kinders uitgespreek:
The Municipality is deeply saddened by the news that two young siblings of Klapmuts have lost their lives following a tragic pedestrian accident. On behalf of the entire Council, I extend my deepest condolences to the Vlotman family for this horrific loss. I pray that you will find comfort and peace during this time of mourning.
The South African Police Services are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and we ask that the community provides SAPS with the support and space they require to conduct their investigation.
We will keep the family and friends of these two young angels in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
