A 53-year-old man was allegedly murdered by the 46-year-old mother of his two-year-old son at Ekulindeni Township.
Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, police spokesperson says the incident is said to have occurred on the evening of Saturday, 16 April 2022.

According to the report, the pair was drinking at their apartment and a heated argument broke out between them whereby a friend tried to intervene but failed.
It is said that the scuffle turned violently which resulted in the man being allegedly stabbed on his shoulder by the woman. He reportedly sustained some injuries and as a result, he was ferried to the hospital for medical treatment where he later succumbed.

The suspect was then arrested by the police and she is due to appear before the Chief Albert Luthuli Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday 19 April 2022 facing a murder charge.
