Aubrey Nel, 35, was handed a 15 years imprisonment sentence for murder in the Phillipstown Regional Court.

Lt. Col. Sergio Kock, police spokesperson, says on 23 April 2021, the stepfather, Nel, fatally stabbed his stepson Duwayne Snyers, 15, after they had had an altercation.
The incident occurred in Riemvasmak, Philipstown and the accused was immediately arrested.

He remained in custody until his sentencing on 12 April 2022.
