Tributes are pouring in for the beloved South African singer Tamsyn Maker, who died suddenly.
Maker was part of the group BlackByrd with Tarryn Lamb and Axene Prinsloo. The group was formed in 2012 when Lamb asked musicians to become part of a women’s music group in an advertisement on Gumtree.
Within a few months of the band’s start, they released their debut album Strong.
Maker and Lamb are also cousins, but did not know it until Lamb invited Maker to audition for the group.
Tributes are pouring in on social media for the young pop sensation.
