Being out of action since August last year isn’t the only issue for Nkanyiso Zungu at Orlando Pirates.
Yesterday, the club confirmed that he was suspended after he was charged by police, with no further details about the charges.

Since his arrival at the club from Stellenbosch FC in the 2019/20 season, Zungu has played 19 games for the Buccaneers.
Club’s Official statement:
Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu has been charged at the Moffatview Police Station on this evening.
The Club suspends Mr Zungu pending an investigation.
As this matter is currently in the hands of the authorities, the Club is unable to make further comment until this process is complete.

Pirates, meanwhile have been inconsistent in recent games as they have won two, have drawn two and lost three of the seven games across all competitions.
They remain fourth on the league standings as they combat to finish within top two to secure the next season’s CAF Champions League spot.
