A steel pole planted in a hole in the road is blocking traffic in Milner Street after Sol Plaatje employees repaired a burst pipe yesterday.
The hole is still not closed and residents complain that the pole and the hole are a danger.
“The traffic is very heavy in the street, because CBC and High school Diamantveld’s parents pick up and drop off children,” says one resident.
Another resident says he almost crashed into the pole this morning as there are no warning signs that a pole has been planted in the middle of the street.
