A man (36) was arrested after he allegedly broke the windows of the Constitutional Court building in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, with a hammer.
Lt. Col Robert Netshiunda, police spokesman, says the incident took place on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Man breaks windows with hammer
“The police were called to the Constitutional Court on reports of a man who was breaking the building’s windows with a hammer. The police fired a warning shot whereafter the suspect continued to break the windows even after he was ordered to stop.”
The man was arrested and charged with malicious damage to property. His court appearance has yet to be confirmed.
