Viktoria Seliverstova (27) originally from Vologda Russia, was one of the lucky girls chosen for South-Africa’s television series “’n Ram vir ‘n Rus” on Via.

Eight girls were chosen by an agency to participate. These girls were given the opportunity to get to know four South-African men while experiencing the exceptional beauty that only nature can give at the Nyati Safari Lodge.

She took the chance to become part of the show because she believes that if life gives you a chance, any chance, you should take it. “You never know where you will meet your future love.”

We wanted to know what her best and worst experience was about South-Africa so far? “The people I met here are the best, most wonderful people with warm harts and good souls. And of course, the nature, some of the best views I had ever seen. My worst experience is of course the safety issue. In Russia we really love to walk everywhere any time of the day or night and there was no problem. Here you should be alert at all times, even when you go to a shopping mall.”

Viktoria is a woman of many talents. From strutting her stuff on a theatre stage to yoga and meditation. She was part of the Russian Theatre for four years. Traveling makes her happy, to get to experience all the different countries with their culture, food and languages gives her a content feeling. Her family and friends are a big part of her life as well.

Naturally we had to ask if she believes in love at first sight: “A lot of people find love on the internet or in travel these days. It doesn’t matter what kind of nationality that person is or what he or she is doing. What is important is that it must be your person, you must understand and enjoy each other. I never had that feeling of love at first sight but I know right away if that person is my person.”

Viktoria is a vegetarian but she loves the quality of South Africa’s food and water, and loves the fact that she can cook with fresh food.

Upon asking what her future plans were, she said that she fell in love with Cape town. “I found that this place is one of the best for living. Cape Town has everything. Nice food, the mountain, the ocean and any sport activity. I would be happy to found some acting or modelling job here.

She also explained to us out of her point of view what the difference is between Russia and South-African men. “Russian men is very gentle and take all responsibility for the women. Here in South-Africa men are more family oriented and become mature so much faster.

“I miss my parents, my dog and cats but mostly the new year with snow the most.”
