Five children were killed and four others were injured in a freak accident when they fell from a bouncy castle after a strong wind blew the bouncy castle into the air.
Police reports confirmed that the bouncy castle was blown up in the air about 10 meters during a children’s party by a strong wind. The incident took place in Tasmania, Australia.
Four of the five children, two boys and two girls, were in grade. 5 and grade. 6. A fifth child later died in hospital due to serious injuries.
Rescue helicopters and ambulances were reportedly rushed to the scene, which took place around 10am.
Parents and caregivers rushed to the scene, without knowing if it was their children who were affected.
An investigation is currently underway.
