The FF Plus welcomes the action taken by The Hawks that recently arrested senior officials in the Northern Cape Department of Health.
This Department has been plagued by corruption and mismanagement for years and thus far, the guilty parties have seemingly been acting with impunity. One MEC after another failed to turn things around. Regardless, these investigations have been underway for a long time and the arrests prove that offenders will eventually be brought to book.
It is absolutely unacceptable that the Department of Health, tasked with caring for the most vulnerable members of our communities, is constantly affected by corruption.
