This dad of two has over 1500 tattoos, including his eyeballs, and says he has 98 percent of his body tattooed. Model and tattoo artist Marcelo Bboy (38) from Bocaiuva, Brazil, got his first tattoo at just 15 years old.
Marcelo’s first tattoo read ‘HIP HOP’ and since then, he has gone on to spend £28,789 ($40,000) on tattoos and body modifications.
The dad of two has other modifications as well
Among his more extreme tattoos, he has had his eyes and gums tattooed to appear black. In addition to covering himself in tattoos, Marcelo also has a number of body modifications including a tongue split – where the tongue is split in two to resemble a snake’s tongue. He also has implants in his arms, modified ears, and has had his teeth entirely replaced with nickel.
The most painful modification he endured was the tongue bifurcation – a procedure in which the tongue is split to resemble a snake’s. He says the modification which receives the most comments and causes the most controversy is his tattooed eyes.
Dad to two children and grandfather to one, Marcelo now works as an artistic model and actor, as well as attending tattoo events as a public figure.
Most recently, he had implants – the process of cutting open the skin and inserting a shaped device below for decorative purposes – in his left arm.
The modifications is like minor surgeries
Every modification is like a minor surgery and it’s important to take proper care of the modification site, but he’s not had any issues with the modifications he’s had so far. He says that he has most of the modifications he would like at the moment, and next he will be filling some small spaces on his leg with tattoos.
“My first modification was getting my eyes tattooed,” said Marcelo.
“The eyes are the modification that is most popular with people because many people are curious about how to get their eyes tattooed and have questions about the risk of going blind. “I wasn’t worried about going blind because I understand the process – the eye pigmentation is only done in the white part of the eye.
“I have about ninety-eight percent of my body tattooed and I think I have spent around forty-thousand-dollars in expenses on tattoos and body modifications.
“I only have a few spaces left without tattoos like intimate areas and some small spaces on my leg, but I plan to get them tattooed soon too.
“I was twenty-two when I realised I wanted more tattoos, and since then I have covered myself in them.”

“Today, people look at me with curiosity and interest. I don’t hear many bad comments about how I look,” Marcelo said.“Women are very enchanted by my tattoos and modifications and I like all of my tattoos – there isn’t one that I could say was my favourite.
The dad of two says he supports his kids in whatever they do
“My kids are totally cool with my tattoos and my daughter already has some of her own. I’m supportive of whatever they do.
“I replaced my teeth with nickel teeth because I love the shine and the look they have – they don’t impair my eating in any way.
“The advice I would give to those who want a lot of tattoos is to know exactly what they want and to work in the tattoo industry.”
