UPINGTON – Heinrich Vries (37) is skuldig bevind aan winkeldiefstal en tot drie jaar direkte gevangenisstraf gevonnis.
Op 29 November 2019 het die beskuldigde die Ackermans-klerewinkel in die stad binnegegaan, klere gegryp, waarna hy uit die winkel gehardloop het. Die veiligheidsbeampte wat daardie dag aan diens was, het onmiddellik opgetree deur agter hom aan te hardloop en hom te vang.

Heinrich Vries (37) was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years direct imprisonment by Upington Magistrate Court on 2020-08-17 for shoplifting.
On the 29 November 2019, it was reported that the accused entered Ackermans clothing shop in town, where he grabbed clothes from the shop and ran out of the shop with it. The vigilant security officer who was on duty that day, immediately acted fast by running after him until he caught him.
The accused remained in custody until he was sentenced on the 17 August 2020.
The detective acting head Lt Colonel Wilna Van Den Heerver applauded the investigating officer, Constable Marchellous Beukes for the incredible hard work and investigation, which led the accused behind bars.
