KIMBERLEY – Die polisie in Kimberley is op soek na ’n vermeende verkragter wat ’n vrou (27) na bewering op 2 Mei in ’n veld naby die Puma-vulstasie verkrag het.
Na bewering het die vrou die manlike verdagte vergesel deur saam met hom van Greenpoint na South Ridge te stap om geld te gaan haal. Langs die pad het die verdagte die slagoffer na bewering in ’n veld naby Puma-vulstasie gedwing en haar verkrag. Die vrou beweer sy ken die verdagte nie regtig nie, aangesien sy hom eers daardie dag in Greenpoint, Kimberley, ontmoet het.

Police search for alleged rapist in Kimberley
The Kimberley SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit are investigating a rape that allegedly occurred on 21 May 2020 at approximately 7pm. It is alleged that the 27-year-old female accompanied the male suspect by walking with him from Greenpoint to South Ridge to fetch money. Along the way the suspect allegedly forced the victim into a veldt close to Puma Petrol Station and raped her. The female do not really know the suspect as she only met him that day in Greenpoint, Kimberley.
The police are searching for a male who might be able to assist with information regarding the investigation. The male could be between 30 and 40 years old, medium build, dark in complexion, about 1.7 meters tall, has several scars in his face and speaks Afrikaans. This male goes by the names “Thabo or Thabang” and is allegedly from the Free State. Anyone with assistance in this regard can call D/Cst Nomonde Mothelesi on 071 860 6782.
