Good news, we are open!
However it will not be “business as before lockdown”. Measures have been put in place that will need to be adhered for the protection of patients and staff alike. These measures are recommended by the SAOA and medical experts.
These measures are as follows:
Trading hours will be Mon-Fri 10:00-15:00 and Sat 10:00-13:00
Patients that will be attended to, are those needing prompt treatment as per the professional judgment of the Optometrist.
Patients are allowed to enter the practice one at a time. (Only children and elderly that requires assistants will be allowed with an additional person), by appointment only wearing a facemask/buff/fabric covering nose and mouth.
If you have been in contact with anyone who tested positive for/or is suspected to have Covid-19 you are required to self-isolate for two weeks and get yourself tested before making your appointment.
You will be questioned when phoning to make an appointment and screened upon entering the practice for any Covid-19 related symptoms. If you fail the screening for any reason you will be sent home to self isolate for two weeks.
Hands will be sanitized when entering the practice and throughout the process.
When fitting frames every frame will be sanitized before and after fitting as well as your hands.
Only tests deemed necessary and safe by the professional judgment of the Optometrist will be conducted.
Staff and patients are to religiously adhere to social distancing (2 meters apart).
Extra care are to be taken for the older and “at risk” patients.
