Vermeende verkragter uit op borg

KIMBERLEY – ‘n Verdagte (46) is in hegtenis geneem na hy vermoedelik op 25 April vanjaar ‘n 14-jarige meisie verkrag het.

Die verdagte is R2 000 borg toegestaan en sal op 29 Mei weer in die landdroshof in Kimberley verskyn.

Die geval het in Rhodesdene plaasgevind.

46 YEAR OLD RAPE CASE POSTPONED TO 29 MAY

A 46 year old rape suspect’s case has been postponed by the Kimberley Magistrates court to 29 May 2020.

The suspect Benjamin Letselebe, allegedly raped a 14 year old girl on 25 April 2020 at Rhodesdene in Kimberley.

The Provincial Commissioner of the Northern Cape, Lt Gen Risimati Peter Shivuri has pointed out that the Kimberley Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit will spare no effort or resource in ensuring that a rock solid case is prepared against the suspect to face the full might of the law.

The suspect was geanted bail of R2000 with conditions that he should report every Wednesday at Kimberley police station and that he should not contact the complainant and witnesses.

Police investigations are continuing.
