OLIFANTSHOEK – Dis ‘n welbekende feit dat alkohol nie in die eerste twee fases van inperking in die land gekoop of verkoop mag word nie. Die polisie het op 25 April inligting ontvang van ‘n drankwinkel-eienaar wat alkohol in Olifantshoek vervoer.
Die polisie het die saak gaan ondersoek en ‘n verdagte bakkie gewaar. Bier, whiskey, wyn en ander alkoholsoorte ter waarde van R30 000 is by die verdagte gekonfiskeer.

NC: LIQUOR CONFISCATED AND SUSPECT ARRESTED IN OLIFANTSHOEK
On 25 April 2020 the Olifantshoek SAPS together with Kuruman K9 Unit received information that a manager of a local bottle store in Olifantshoek was transporting Liquor.
Police followed up on information, spotted the bakkie and found beer, whiskeys, wines and other liquor stashed in the vehicle. The total amount of liquor is estimated at R30000. The adult male suspect was arrested and detained at the Olifantshoek SAPS cells.
The SAPS members were commended for their swift response and the community is thanked for their role they played in the arrest of the suspect.
