Covid-19: Polisielede toegewyd en vol deursettingsvermoë

KURUMAN – Die polisie op Kuruman het gister nóg twee winkeleienaars in hegtenis geneem vir die onwettige handel in sigarette gedurende die inperking.

Die koop en verkoop van sigarette in dié tydperk is verbied as deel van die maatreëls om die verspreiding van Covid-19 te voorkom.

On Tuesday, 21 April 2020 at 10:00 two wholesaler owners both 25 years of age were arrested after caught selling cigarettes to the public.  Members of Kuruman and Kimberley Highway Patrol Units visited the two wholesalers in Kuruman to check for compliance in terms of lockdown regulations of not selling cigarettes to the public.

The total value of the cigarettes amounted to R9 000-00 and both owners were arrested. The two suspects were warned to appear before the Kuruman Magistrates’ court on 8 June 2020.

The Custer Commander of JTG, Major General Johan Bean commended both Kuruman and Kimberley Highway Patrol Units members for their commitment and dedication.
