KIMBERLEY – ’n Voormalige kolonel van die polisie het op aanklag van bedrog in die Kimberley-landdroshof verskyn.

FORMER SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE COLONEL IS SET TO APPEAR IN COURT FOR FRAUD.
NORTHERN CAPE – A 55-year-old former Colonel at the South African Police Service is expected to appear before Kimberley Magistrate Court on Monday, 18 May 2020 after he was served with summons by the Hawks’ Serious Corruption Investigation Unit following investigations.
It is alleged that in 2014, the accused submitted fraudulent travel claims on his Middle Management Service (MMS) scheme to the amount of R47 000.00. It is further alleged that he unduly benefited by abusing the claim system.
The accused is charged with contravention of Section 99,103, 256, 257 and 270 of the Criminal Procedure Act 51 of 1977.
