NC: Duo arrested for theft of cellphone battery towers*
On Thursday, 12 March 2020, two men were arrested at Warrenton for theft of non ferrous.
The Francis Baard Cluster Task Team with the assistance of Crime Intelligence and Warrenton Detectives followed on information which led them to the two suspects. The duo allegedly stole battery cellphone towers worth R156 000 fromGaleshewe and Kimberley.
Both suspect aged 32 and 41 years old are expected to appear before Warrenton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 16 March 2020.
Community members are urged to refrain from stealing or tempering with cable infrastructure and scrap metal delears are also urged not to buy stolen metals rather report those who are suspected to be selling stolen metals.
