A domestic violence incident between a couple ended in the death of the husband in Namahadi, Frankfort on Sunday 3 April 2022.
Capt. Malebo Khosana, police spokesperson, says the members on duty received a complaint that there was a fight between a wife and husband at a certain house in Phahameng Section.

A member who attended the scene found a woman sitting on a chair holding her husband.
He noticed that the husband was bleeding from the mouth and had sustained an open wound in the chest. The husband aged 46 was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
On interviewing the wife about what had happened, she explained that she was fighting with her husband outside the house. According to her a group of people entered the yard to rescue her from her husband.

“After people had separated them, she saw her husband fall. She further alleged that this unknown group of people ran away. She could not give a clear account of how the victim sustained the fatal injury,” said Khosana.
The wife was arrested on the same day and will be charged with murder. She will appear in the Frankfort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 5 April 2022. The investigation continues.
