Just a few days following the sacking of Benni McCarthy as AmaZulu head coach, the club has announced Brandon Truter as the interim coach for the remainder of the season.
McCarthy was sacked on Friday after the string of poor results with Usuthu who were recently knocked out of the CAF Champions League.

Truter has been without a job since November as he was also shown the exit door by Swallows FC.
The former Cape Town All-Stars coach has seven games to prove that he is the right man for the Durban-based club head coach job.

Official statement from AmaZulu:
“AmaZulu FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Brandon Truter as interim head coach with immediate effect until the end of the current 2021/2022 season.
We look forward to competing in the league for the remaining seven games.
The search for the head coach to lead the team beyond this season has commenced and should be finalised before the end of April.”
