The police at Bushbuckridge have launched a manhunt for suspects following an incident in which a man’s body was found by a shepherd in the bushes at Dwarsloop near Bushbuckridge on Saturday 19 March 2022.
Captain Andre Beetge, police spokesperson, says on the said day the shepherd alerted the authorities after the gruesome discovery where upon their arrival, the man was certified dead by the paramedics.

The man’s body was reportedly found hand-tied to a tree and was in a state of decomposition.
Subsequently, police at Bushbuckridge opened a murder case, hence the manhunt. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
“The man is believed to be in his 30’s and has not been identified as yet,” said Beetge.
The police urged members of the public who are in search of a family member or anyone with information that can assist in locating the man’s family to contact Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth Bhiya at 0726377947 or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
