Pitso signs new deal with Al Ahly

Al Ahly have announced a two years contract extension with Pitso Mosimane amid rumours of him being linked with clubs in the Middle East.


Pitso has also been rumoured to be the wanted for an Egyptian senior men national team job, but it seems like he’s at Ahly to stay.

“Al Ahly SC are delighted to announce that Pitso Mosimane has signed a contract extension with the club for two more years,” said Ahly in a statement.


“The coach and his assistants signed the new contract, ensuring they will remain at the helm until 2024.”


Since his arrival at Al Ahly, “Jingles” has won one Egyptian Premier League, two CAF Champions League, two CAF Super Cups, one League Cup and two bronze of FIFA Club World Cup.

Mosimane and his troops will arrive in South Africa on Wednesday 9 March as they’ll be facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the  Champions League group stages match on Saturday.


Sundowns won 1-0 away in Egypt in the first round and both teams are looking forward to qualify for quarter finals.
