At least 32 Eastern Cape teachers have been implicated in alleged matric exam cheating. It’s believed that the teachers were aware that some of the Grade 12 pupils were cheating during the matric exams last year.

The provincial education department is investigating the matter. The department said that irregularities were picked up during the marking of the Life Sciences, Physical Science and Accounting exam papers.

The Congress Of South African Students is calling for a thorough investigation.
