A female soldier has been arrested in Nigeria for accepting a marriage proposal while on duty. The authorities say she has breached the military’s code of conduct by indulging in romance while in uniform.
The female soldier was arrested for accepting a marriage proposal from a male corps member while on duty.
The video of their proposal has since went viral, purportedly showing a female soldier accepting a proposal from a paramilitary trainee in the government’s youth training scheme, known as the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC0, as onlookers cheered.
According to SABC News, the soldier has since been arrested for having breached the code of conduct.
