Spar Plattekloof in Cape Town released a press release on the local merchandise’s Facebook page on 12th December 2021. It reads as follows:
“We are aware of the post doing rounds asking outside merchandisers and reps for proof of vaccination.
We would like to assure the public that we have no vaccine mandate in our store, towards staff and customers or suppliers, it stays each individual’s choice.
We have no intention on introducing a mandate at any point in the future.
Everyone is welcome in our store, ”
