Lalela Mswane, Miss SA, had people talking about her national costume at the Miss Universe competition that took place over the weekend. Mswane’s costume depicted a white dove symbolizing peace. Internet consumers now see her as the symbol of peace between nations.
Lalela wore a white bodysuit with white feathers.
The Miss SA organization said in a social media post, “Lalela Mswane represents her nation, culture and its spirit of ubuntu. A nation that has shown that lasting peace can be achieved. She is honoured to bring this message of hope to the world stage. ”
Miss SA took third place in the Miss Universe Competition, which took place in Israel.
