Ntando Khuzwayo, eThekwini ward 28 councillor, said more than 100 councillors from various regions and provinces will form part of a convoy and visit former president Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma in Nkandla, and to check up on his wellbeing.
He said members wanted to visit former president, to find out how he is doing because they had no time in doing so, due to the election campaign’s season which has passed.
“We just want to see him and show him our love and appreciation. When he got out of prison, we were not able to see him because we were still busy with election campaigns,” he said.
The convoy to Nkandla also includes a gift in a form of a bull, to former president Jacob Zuma, as token of appreciation.
Khuzwayo said about 40 councillors from eThekwini and Umvoti contributed to Zuma’s gift.
The visit comes as the ANC eThekwini Region is gearing up to host it’s elective leadership conference.
