The couple reveals that they are terribly offended by the fact that he has barely served half of his term.

June feels that Pistorius does not qualify for parole and that he has so far shown “no remorse or emotion” for the murder of her daughter. His remorse was “never sincere”. The fact that he changed his testimony three times is proof that he did not feel anything for her life, says June.

Reva was an LL.B. student with a successful future as a TV personality in front of her. “The violent murder of our daughter is a horrible affair from which we cannot escape,” says June.

Barry Steenkamp says during the interview that he is open to a conversation with Pistorius and although they forgive him, his sentence should not be lighter.

Pistorius is already eligible for parole although the parole board has not made a decision so far. Pistorius, as well as the Steenkamps, are open for a conversation regarding his parole.
