Eskom announced that load shedding will be reduced to Stage three from Wednesday until Friday.
Stage 2 will then be implemented from Friday until 05:00 on Saturday.
According to Eskom CEO, Andre De Ruyter load shedding was further exacerbated by municipalities that have refused to implement load shedding as was required. He added that letters have been drafted to all affected municipalities to correct the situation with all future load shedding scenarios which may occur.
Eskom reminded its customers to reduce the use of electricity in order to assist it through constraints and said that communication will be sent out promptly should there be any significant changes to the power system.
